Motivation is an elusive thing.
I can’t touch it. I can’t see it. I can’t find it.
And when I try to find it, motivation runs far, far away from me.
And then, suddenly, it touches me. Out of nowhere!
That five pounds that wouldn’t budge for anything…it’s now as if it had been belted around my waist and all I had to do was lift a finger to uncinch the belt. Presto, the five pounds are gone.
Motivation touches me again and that bulging closet that I’d been ignoring is neat and clean.
And even better…all that writing that I’ve been putting off because I wouldn’t do it well enough anyway…it starts to flow. The words come as I walk, as I clean, as I put away Christmas decorations.
But, remember, it’s an elusive thing. It could disappear any minute.
So stand back, I’ve got things to do.
Before motivation disappears. To return…who knows when.
Today, before the motivation disappears, I am linking up with my friends at fiveminutefriday.com. Come see what everybody is writing about the prompt word – motivate.
